Annual Appeal
Dear Friends:
"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn."

These words spoken by our town's namesake resonate strongly in the Franklin public school system. The educators and administrators in our Franklin public schools continually demonstrate their commitment to learning by providing high quality education to our children.
The Franklin Education Foundation (FEF) recognizes these great efforts. The FEF is an independent, nonprofit, community organization whose mission is to enhance the educational experience of students in the Franklin Public Schools. We award grants for innovative and important programs and activities that directly benefit our students and that would not traditionally be funded by tax dollars.
This year, we proudly celebrate our 10th year anniversary. Over the past ten years and as a direct result of your generosity and the support of our community, the FEF has granted nearly 110 requests totaling over $150,000 to the Franklin public schools. These grants are requested by teachers and administrators in the district. Descriptions of a sampling of grants funded are on the back of this letter. Descriptions of grants funded can be found at our web site www.franklined.org.
However, we continually receive more grant applications which we cannot sponsor simply due to a lack of funds. We need your help to award these worthwhile and important grants to further support the education of our students.
Please join members of the Board in support of our mission by considering a tax-deductible donation to the Franklin Education Foundation. We ask every family with children in their household to consider a gift of $180 - only one dollar for every day your student is in school. While we cannot begin to know what level of support is possible for you at this time, we hope that we can count on your participation and that you will allow us to be part of your personal circle of giving. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated.
